💼 Career Overview

My career has been rooted and shaped in the field of information technology.

After completing my PhD in Physics, conducting my thesis work at CERN in Geneva and the University of Hamburg, I began my professional journey as an analyst and project manager at one of Germany’s leading software firms.

Six years later, I expanded my professional scope by taking on the role of Marketing and Sales Manager for Switzerland at another prominent German IT company.

This was followed by a key leadership position as Managing Director of the German subsidiary of a major Swiss software enterprise.

Later, I was appointed Director and Board Member of the German subsidiary of the world’s second-largest computer company, where I led amongst other the restructuring of the Professional Services division.

Over the years, I’ve gained deep insights across a broad range of industries, actively contributing to the design and development of sophisticated IT solutions for complex technical and scientific applications—including R&D, manufacturing, and logistics.

My managerial responsibilities frequently brought me into high-level negotiations with executives from numerous Fortune 500 companies, enriching my perspective and strategic acumen.

In 2016, I joined Sino German Executive Search, a distinguished executive and expert recruitment firm serving leading Chinese automotive corporations and other global industry players.

My extensive experience in international projects, combined with over a decade of professional life in Southern Africa, has made me fully proficient in English and highly attuned to multicultural collaboration.

 Mrs. Regina Zhu holds a Bachelor's degree in Literature from Jiangsu Normal University and a Master's degree from East China Normal University. Following her academic achievements, she pursued a career in human resources, progressively building her expertise as an HR professional and HR Director across various companies.       Her career spans industries such as the German chemical sector, a Fortune 500 automotive corporation, and a leading Chinese new energy vehicle enterprise.

   With her ability to navigate diverse corporate cultures, Mrs. Zhu brings extensive experience in HR management. She has successfully delivered practical solutions in areas such as organizational development and transformation, talent acquisition and recruitment, as well as incentive system design.

   In the past three years, she has supported numerous Chinese companies in recruiting seasoned professionals for their European operations. Mrs. Zhu has joined Sino German Executive Search in December 2024 as an independent recruiter.
